November at CMOM: Día de los Muertos, Diwali, and Delicious Designs
Every month at CMOM, visitors of all ages can get creative in our galleries and participate in a range of different art-making activities, workshops, dance, music and read-alouds.
This November, join CMOM to celebrate the best of the season—from learning the steps and gestures of kathak, a traditional Indian dance, for Diwali; to creating a community installation of handcrafted paper marigolds for Día de los Muertos; to making a traditional thanksgiving meal all out of paper! The month also includes weeks dedicated to puppetmaking—for little hands, fingers, and even toes—and to exploring the flavors of fall. A full line up of programs, all of which are free with admission, follows below, listed in chronological order:
About CMOM: Hours, Admissions, and Exhibition Programs
A steward of early childhood education and development, CMOM offers imaginative and enriching programs that support, challenge, and inspire. Children and their caretakers are invited to explore all their favorite installations across the four-floor museum, from long-term displays, including PlayWorks and Adventures with Dora and Diego, to special exhibitions Inside Art and Superpowered Metropolis, to the seasonal water installation Dynamic H2O.
CMOM is open Wednesday through Sunday, from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm, with timed entry on the hour every hour throughout the day.
Visitors are encouraged to purchase timed-entry tickets online in advance. Admission is free for all members and $15 for non-members and provide entry to all CMOM programs and exhibitions.
